Gifts for Grads

The Tiger Den has helped more than 60 seniors with college scholarships attend college with some of the essentials they’ll need for college and their dorms. The Tiger Den would like to make this a permanent program and is calling it “Gifts for Grads”. Each year, Jones High coaches, teachers and guidance counselors will recognize twenty college bound grads with financial need. Most will be the first in their family to attend college.

The goal of Gifts for Grads is to provide each student a laptop computer, dorm essentials such as extra long twin bedding, towels, laundry items, toiletries and school supplies. Additionally, students bound for northern climates will need winter wardrobes.

Donations of new and gently used sweaters, winter coats, jackets, gloves, and hoodies for men and women are needed, all sizes XSmall-3XL.

Cash donations and gift cards to Bed, Bath, and Beyond, Target, Walmart, Ross, Staples, Best Buy, Comp USA are all appreciated. We also collect school supplies, toiletries, sanitary napkins, suits, ties and dress shirts for men and business attire for women.

All donations are tax deductible and tax receipts are provided. Checks should be made payable to Jones High School, Attn: Tiger Den (in the memo area include “Gifts for Grads”). Anything you can do to help is sincerely appreciated.

Thank you!
